A highly unusual and possibly unique 18K gold, enamel and turquoise-set openface keyless lever watch with custom made case and matching ringSigned Patek Philippe & Co., Geneva, retailed by Marcus & Co., New York, movement no. 88'279, manufactured in 1890Cal. 17''' nickel-finished Extra quality lever movement, 20 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, gold cuvette, the later gold and turquoise-set dial with red enamelled Arabic numerals, red enamel "snake" hands, in custom made heavy circular case with undulated bezel, chased scroll decorated rims, pendant and bow, the reverse centred by a turquoise-set and rainbow-coloured enamel scroll decoration in high relief, the matching 18K gold ring with turquoise-set snake-form head with ruby-set eyes, the triple loop band simulating the snake's body, case and cuvette numbered and signed by retailer, movement numbered and signed by maker and retailer; ring unsigned50 mm. diam.
